ARCHES
After Salt Lake city (saturday) we still had until tuesday to explore so with music on we drove down to Arches and Canyonlands. Once we started driving up the roads of Arches National Park we couldn't believe our eyes. I mean, I knew it was going to be spectacular but that was something else.
''Wooow, look Irina!'', ''Woow Eli, can you believe this?''. We couldn't articulate, it was too much!
We hiked all day, going from the top and stopping along the way for the different hikes and viewpoints. We obviously took some naps here and there laying on the sandy rocks. It was about finding the perfect shady spot with the right inclination and enough space for two.
The hardest part is that after 10 minutes of hiking in that desert heat the water we brought was boiling and that only makes you more and more thirsty. We survived but I don't think I will ever do this in August and next time I'm bringing one of these.
We did Arches in two days, and the second day we did delicate arch, which is a longer hike and they recommend doing it either really early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the extreme hot hours during the day.
