I had the pleasure of collaborating again with the beautiful homeschooling community Wild + Free for the January bundle inspired by one of my favorite books and movie and the beautiful girl in it: The little Princess.
I've watched this movie over and over again growing up. I was really inspired at a young age by Sara, the main character. Her personality, how strong and her leadership skills.
Wild & Free is mostly an Instagram-based community (@wildandfree.co), but they also host events throughout the yearand produce monthly content bundles packed with articles, how-tos, downloads, devotionals and media from inspiring homeschooling mamas from all over the world.
If you are interested on learning more or see what the bundles look like and the beautiful work behind it you can download the Prairie Bundle for free here. And if you like it, that I'm sure you will, you can subscribe here and/or buy past bundles here.
When I started designing this cape, the first thing I told Ainsley I was going to incorporate was velvet. I just love it specially for little girls, and I envisioned with a dramatic and beautiful bow in the front.
So I went to hunt for fabrics and I fell in love with this hand died ribbon, isn't pretty?
The tutorial is a step by step and it is pretty easy to make. And I love it that is reversible and that you can wear it with different outfits!
Oh and let's talk about the amazing girls that have become my models, Belle and Luci. They are fun, beautiful and they love pretty things. A big thank you to them, because they wore it and posed for me the way I envisioned and for their awesome mom Emily, who is the nicest!
I hope you like it!
