On Friday I am presenting my Portfolio in front of an audience and panelists from the industry that are going to evaluate and comment our work.
We have to make a 6 minute presentation and mine is waaaay longer than that, so now I'm trying to figure out how to make it shorter and practice and practice so that I stay on time. For the last week or so I've been having nightmares, I wake up 3-5 times a night and I'm usually up by 5am every morning... Public speaking is not my 'thingy' but problems aside, I've been keeping myself busy doing what I do best, and it's creating and keeping my hands occupied.
I am working on this personal swatchbook to leave behind for the panelists. I wanted something that would remind of my work and that would be something that they would actually keep or give away as a present (not throwing it away). Since I love patterns, color, textures and have a lot of my work printed and saved in sketchbooks, I decided to use them, cut samples like if they were swatches and put them together along with my personal card and information. Thisswatchbook contains bits and pieces of the work I'm presenting on Friday along with other stuff that I don't get to show. I am very pleased of how it turned out.
I had all the materials at home, except a few things. I went got all my sketchbooks, old projects, samples and started cutting parts of it with this circle punch. Then with a punch-hole I did another small hole to put a ring around it and I put a personal card on the front and one on the back to personalize it a little bit more and voila!
I hope you enjoy!
