I can't even explain how much I love my new pixie hood handmade just for me. I discovered Meg Chittenden (@twolittlecs) through Instagram, and the day that I did, I think I spent a whole afternoon scrolling through her entire feed (and I'm telling you, she's been in the little squares for a while). There was something magic in everything I was seeing; soft colors, sunshine kissing baby faces, knits, nature and handmade wings for creative play.
Meg is a very talented lady and she and her husband are Waldorf teachers that live in Blue Hill, Maine where they are raising their two beautiful children.
I contacted her and we worked to find the perfect pattern and colors for my knitted pixie hood that it is made with the finest wool and wool blend yarns and finished with their own handmade Alderwood buttons to tie around your neck. She made my vision reality and only through a few messages. We chose this chunky ecru with a gray and eggplant color trim with a very thin yellow line. It is so soft and keeps you warm for the chili winter days.
It's been on the 60's (16+-ºC) here in Seattle lately and sunny (a very rare weather for March) and I've been wearing it almost every day. People look me a little weird, since in Seattle Sun and 50-60's means bikinis and flip-flops.
She makes this beautiful hoods to order if you contact her through Instagram.
I think I'm going to wear mine through July ;P
